
TitBits: Breast Cancer Stories
TitBits: Breast Cancer Stories is a documentary theatre play, and was first performed at The Newhouse School, Syracuse University in November 2019. It was conceived, directed and produced by Tula Goenka, and written by Nancy Keefe Rhodes with Kyle Bass. It’s the second phase of the Look Now Project.
The participants were breast cancer survivors Anju Varshney, AnnMarie Giannino, Colleen Anderson, Deirdre Bordies and Barbara Genton; Sheila Lemke, a retired breast cancer oncologist; Anthony Deboni, a plastic surgeon in private practice specializing in cosmetic surgery and breast reconstruction; and Samuel Gruber, who lost his partner to breast cancer.

TitBits & Look Now Featured in Syracuse University News
Tula Goenka, professor of television, radio and film in the Newhouse School, is the producer and director of “TitBits: Breast Cancer Stories,” an original documentary theater piece that will have a cold reading in the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium of Newhouse 3 on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Goenka, herself a breast cancer survivor, has dedicated the last decade to sharing her story and the stories of other breast cancer survivors to break down barriers between public perception and their personal experiences.
